Dr. Bharat Thakur, artist and yogi

Art of Kindness will present this exclusive live event with Dr. Bharat Thakur, a renowned artist and yogi. Recognized for his world-famous brand of “Artistic Yoga, Dr. Thakur will be giving a special Art of Kindness live performance, creating a series of artworks, which he will name and capture in the form of bespoke poems, broadcast live on Facebook.

Before Dr. Thakur’s live performance, guests will be invited to preview the Art of Kindness digital-art platform through tablets and LED screens. This platform will showcase interviews and details of the artists and artworks being exhibited, as well as the future kindness legacy stories from projects of the non-profit partners to be carried out after the artworks are sold. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and social champions who support Art of Kindness.

Dr. Bharat Thakur is a revolutionary yogi who spent 14 years in the Himalayas studying yoga, Ayurveda, Tantra and Mantra, as well as tenets of Sufism, Jainism, and Buddhism. He has been fully immersed in the spiritual practice since the age of four when he began learning under his master Sukhdev Brahmachari. With a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in sports medicine and yoga, he is equally well versed in the scientific tradition, which he strongly believes is aiding his spiritual practice.

Art is a storehouse for human creative capital and dialogue. What if we could use this creative capital and the idea of art as our universal language to solve problems in our communities across the globe? This main proposition behind Art of Kindness focuses on a new art marketplace, where artists and collectors can buy and sell art and customize their very own kindness experience and legacy story.

A portion of the sales proceeds from every artwork, which would traditionally be transaction fees in the art market, are directed to a social project from a range of non-profit, social impact partners. Beautifully curated stories of community building and social development programs are then attached to the artwork, transforming the art ownership experience.

Tickets to the event are extremely limited and are priced at £75. To purchase your ticket and RSVP, please contact Damson Communications at rsvp@damsonpr.com
