The Art Directors Guild has announced nominations for the 22nd Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos and, for the first time, animation features. Winners will be honored at the Awards Gala on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland. ADG Awards will honor eight-time Academy Award®-Nominee KATHLEEN KENNEDY with the Cinematic Imagery Award. Good News for Business Prospects: CEO Confidence Rebounds
The Conference Board Measure of CEO Confidence™, which declined in the third quarter, bounced back in the fourth quarter of 2017. The Measure now reads 63, up from 59 in the third quarter. Currently, 71% say conditions are better compared with 6 months ago, up from 56% in the third quarter. In addition, 47% expect economic conditions to improve during the next 6 months compared with just 39% last quarter. CEOs were also more upbeat about short-term prospects in their own industries over the next 6 months, with 41% anticipating conditions will improve versus 36% in the third quarter of 2017.
Women Leaders Launch “TIME’S UP” Campaign to Eradicate Abuse of Power, Shift Leadership Imbalances and Promote Equality
TIME’S UP, an unprecedented movement started by women in the entertainment industry, has announced the launch of the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund.
